Merry Christmas!

Well, another holiday down and just 93 more days until I get to meet the best gift I will ever receive :) Jeff and I were talking about the fact that for the rest of our lives, we will never be alone. Santa will ALWAYS be real, and we will never again "buy gifts" for each other like we normally have done. It is such a big change and SO exciting!!!!

Week 25!

So our baby-moon this past weekend was a huge success....not the cheapest, but we really did enjoy ourselves and it was a much needed time for Jeff and I. Hayden's little kicks and punches are getting stronger and stronger and now, Jeff can just place his hand there on my tummy and feel those movements without a doubt! When we were on our way to Monterey, we were driving and Hayden was kicking so much that it was very visible, even more so than last week, and Jeff got to see it in person rather than over the video! That was really neat. Also, We were lying in bed Saturday night and our tummy's were touching and Hayden kicked hard. Jeff felt it against his stomach and was so amazed! I cannot believe how big the changes are from week to week. Last week when we had our follow up at Dr. Helm's office they said he is measuring at about 1lb 8 oz and that everything looks perfect! He was being so stubborn though and was head down in my pelvis and refused to move!! We didn't get very many good pictures since he was being a little stinker but thats okay...OF COURSE he made sure to flash us his pee pee hehehe. That is one thing he always lets us see! LOL....It's only 14 weeks and 6 days until the due date! I picked out my baby shower invites and my mom and I decided that the shower will be Jan. 29th at 1:00pm :)) I can't wait for all the festivities to come!

Gymnast? Acrobat? Oh My!

Little man has started to move BIG TIME the last few days. I mean BIG TIME! I can actually watch it underneath my shirt now! It's crazy! For being a mere 1lb, he sure is packing some serious punches! Here is a video of his first visible movements that I caught on video! Usually he doesn't let me videotape him....How on earth do they know???? lol....

Week 24 and only 16 more!

If I go to full term that is lol. I am feeling just absolutely fantastic right now. Hayden is moving around SOO much. It's no longer just a little 'flutter' every once in a while, I mean, he is packing full on punches! My mom is DYING to feel him but every time she tries, he stops! He's such a stinker! Tonight we have CPR and first aid renewal which comes just in time so I am nice and refreshed before Mr. Man comes along! This coming Thursday we have a follow up appointment with Dr. Helm to make sure all is well with this growing little guy, which I am sure it is since I feel his little tushie all day long and into the night! This weekend, Jeff and I are going on a "Baby-moon" to our favorite vacation spot Monterey :) We were originally planning on going to San Fransisco and going to my FIRST ever 49ers game, but it looks like it's going to pour down rain, so we decided against it. I mean, with how we are playing this year, I'm not really going to be missing much haha! The holiday festivities coming up soon are extremely exciting! All my Christmas shopping is done and my Christmas cards FINALLY made it to the post office today. I had them addressed and ready to go in the middle of November, but never went to get stamps so as much as I was prepared, I still ended up being behind lol. Oh well. At least they are out before Christmas this year. Well, I am going to go pack a sandwich since I feel so guilty for giving Hayden so much junk food last week (I had a LOT of Taco Bell). See ya!

22 Weeks 4 days....and Child Birthing class!

So last weekend, we had our child birthing class. WE LOVED IT. We learned so much and our instructor was really really good. Although, I was the earliest along because I thought my doctor said to TAKE the class between 20-25 weeks, and he said to BOOK the class during that time. OH WELL! lol. What else is crazy is that EVERYONE but one couple, 9 out of 10, are having boys! Crazy. A couple of notes that I don't want to forget are:
1) bring my IZ hawaiian CD to the L&D room, along with my journal, camera, and other relaxing CD's.
2)bring and exercise ball
3) stay at home as LONG as possible. NO epidural for me :)))
4) BREATHE
5) bring things from home to make the room feel more comfortable.
6) pray for a PRIVATE postpartum room!!

Anyway, I HIGHLY suggest taking the child birthing class through Clovis Community if that is where you will be delivering. The lady is HILARIOUS, plus it's so productive. Even Jeff enjoyed it!

So, I am 22 weeks and 4 days. I am having some 'bladder' problems....when I laugh, cough, bend, or pretty much stand anywhere, I pee! Not a lot, but a enough to totally realize what just happened!! It's terrible! Guess I need to work on those Kegels. Hayden is ALL over the place. Jeff is starting to be able to feel him more but it is a matter of being patient on his part lol.

Today is Thanksgiving and I am ready to get my grub ON! lol

Couple Memories I forgot to Write Down

So before I forget these memories in detail, I need to jot them down:
Putting together Hayden's Furniture: 10/30/10
Today we bought the Crib and Changing Table at Target. We were so excited to put it together when we got home! We moved the huge boxes into the living room and ripped open the box for the changing table and took out the wooden pieces and instructions. Jeff put it together in a jiffy and we took it down the little hallway into Hayden's room. Next, the crib. This one took a little more time, but when it was all put together, it looked beautiful! I got on one end and Jeff on the other and we began our journey down the hallway, the very narrow hallway, into Hayden's room...Only, the crib wouldn't fit. Not on it's side, not at an angle, not at all! Meanwhile, I am trapped in the doorway of the bathroom blocked by the bars of the crib! Jeff maneuvered his way out and went to try to take the glass off he window outside which leads into Hayden's room. After 20 minutes of trying, the glass just would not come off! We ended up having to take the sides of the crib off and then putting it back together after we finally got it in there! It was a hilarious experience.

Jeff feels Hayden Kick 11/17/10:
I have been feeling Hayden moving around for about a month now, here and there little flutters and rolling around inside, but none of his movements have been strong enough for Jeff to feel. Last night, he was kicking so much, I asked Jeff to just put his hand there just in case. After waiting a while, Hayden kicked so incredibly hard! It was amazing that Jeff finally got to feel how strong our baby boy is getting! And crazy for me to have been kicked this hard! It was such an amazing moment. Jeff said "I actually saw my hand come up from it!" He was so excited :0)

21 Weeks and counting!

I have been so extremely horrible about updating this blog and I know I am going to regret it!!! grrr!!! Now that I am officially past the mid-point in my pregnancy, the count down til when Hayden comes finally begins! I have been feeling him a lot more lately....nothing crazy, but definitley some kicking, punching, and somersaulting going around. In the next couple weeks I should be able to play the "flash light" game with him and hear his heartbeat on the at home monitor Melanie let me borrow. I listen almost everyday lol. When at the last doctors appointment, Dr. Dave said from what he saw from the ultrasounds at Dr. Helm's office, and from what he can hear (the strongest heartbeat EVER!!) everything seems to be going great! I don't go back until Dec. 15th. This weekend is our child-birthing class. I am really looking forward to it, I just hope that I actually get something from it....if not anything legit, then at least its bonding time with my husband :) The first trimester acne that I thought I was done with is BACK. And it's back with a vengence. Ughhh...it's so bad, but from what I keep reading it's very normal. Well, it may be normal, but not very cute! My appetite has fully returned and is growing rapidly!! I am hungry all the time. LITERALLY. I had my first western bacon cheeseburger since I have been prego yesterday and OMG. it was incredible. But that's the only one I am allowing myself to have til D-day :)) I promised myself that I wouldn't eat fast food (not counting taco bell of course) my entire pregnancy except ONE western bacon, and I just used my voucher :) It was the most incredible western bacon I have ever had too. ANYWAY! enough about the western....lol. Here's a little update on what's scientifically going on with the baby :)
From Baby-Center:
"Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long -the length of a carrot. You may soon feel like she's practicing martial arts as her initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to her activity as you get to know her better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now."

I recommend seeing a Chiropractor! and other news...

For anyone who is pregnant right now or plans to be in the future I HIGHLY recommend seeing Dr. Claudia Anrig at Anrig chiropractic. She specializes in prenatal wellness. Not only does chiropractic care help with nervous problems and other aspects of your health, it reduces the risk of having a C-section and shortens labor time immensely! I had major lower back pain during my third and fourth months of being pregnant and after seeing her twice the pain is completely relieved. Also, she gives out tons of great info on wellness during pregnancy, delivery and after the baby... Wonderful! If anyone wants more information please let me know!!! I feel so great! After an adjustment, you can just feel that the baby has more room to move around (Hayden goes NUTS after an adjustment) and you feel that you just sit taller and feel....happier!!

Anywho. Jeff and I are trying to plan a trip out of town to try an get one last trip alone in before he baby comes. We have a few destinations in mind...but we shall see. It all depends on if I can get the time off. Also, I ordered our Christmas cards from shutterfly this year. It was just easier (not necessarily cheaper...) to go this route this year. I am excited on how they turned out....

Anyway, on a baby note...I feel I am getting pretty big now and growing rapidly! Hayden is moving around more and more everyday and getting his furniture really made the reality of it sink in!! We are getting so excited for him to come!! :))

Furniture!

So, today Jeff and I woke up at the crack of dawn and divided the contents of our spare bedroom into three piles: storage, trash, and goodwill....ANYONE who has dared to enter the spare bedroom knows that this was a daring feat! You could barely walk in there! Honestly though, it was not as bad as I thought, just lots of sorting and going through things. Gotta make room for little man! Then, we headed to target and bought the crib and changing table. I LOVE THEM. The only problem is, we need to find a dresser in charcoal to match them because the set did not have a matching dresser. Babies R Us online has a few that I like, but the shipping charges are outrageous and they cannot be purchased in the store. Grrrr. So anywho. I am now sitting here, watching Jeff put together all the furniture. He likes having a project I think it makes him feel more included in the baby process :0)

Umm....Change of Diet NEEDED!

Okay, so I have been eating HORRIBLY lately...I should be consuming about 1620 calories a day, and lets just say I have been consuming MUCH more. I was doing really well until Friday of last week.....then it was just all down hill from there. Plus, I cannot get motivated to workout or exercise...its awful.... SO. Tomorrow I am going to start logging my meals in everyday so I can visually see what all I am feeding my little one. I am gonna start with a fresh clean slate and TRY to exercise too.....wish me luck!

Proud Mama of....

A BABY BOY! we are SOOO excited!

So here's how it all panned out. The last two weeks I have been having severe back pain in my lower back. I called my Dr. Dave today because it was finally getting really bad and he put me on bed rest for the day, and sent me to Advanced Medical Imaging to get an Ultrasound to check on the little one. I told Jeff he didn't have to go because it was just going to be a check up, but that if we were able to find out did he want me to find out? He said yes to find out, sooooo....I arrived at my appointment and the same ultrasound tech that I have had for years there, and she took pictures of the baby's every single inch. From major arteries, to organs, to toes, to limbs, she took it all! It took almost two hours, but it was GREAT!!!! I enjoyed every minute of watching my baby on that screen. Everything looked perfect! Including the little "boy part" which suddenly popped up OBVIOUSLY on the screen! I was like "OMG it's a boy isn't it?" And she said yup you have a boy!!! My hear leaped! I wasn't sure how Jeff would react because he had really thought this whole time that the baby was a girl! After the ultrasound, I drove to Target and bought two newborn shirts. One which read "I love Dad" and one which read "Team Daddy" with a football helmet on it. I planned to give those to Jeff later in the evening during dinner along with the "pee pee" ultrasound picture :0) When I was at Target, Jane, Dr. Dave's nurse called me and let me know that the ultrasound results all looked great, but that they wanted to put me on bed rest for 3 days to help my back. Also, they ordered me a urine test to make sure that it wasn't a kidney issue. So I drove over to the Quest lab, they gave me the pee cup and I had a Prego Brain moment. I just sat down like normal and peed...not in the cup. UGH! I was so mad at myself. Luckily, the guy didnt make a big deal and just sent me home with cup and had me bring it back later...geez these Prego-Brain moments are gonna be the death of me! So after I went and dropped off the pee, I came home and Jeff and I got ready to go to dinner at Olive Garden. SO good. When we got there and he saw the "present" he was like a kid on Christmas and couldnt wait to open it so I let him open it as soon as we sat down. He was shocked at first, but I could tell he was excited to find out that he is having a son. It is so crazy that we can finally refer to the baby as HIM haha! The name we have chosen is Hayden James Pfeifer. :0)

Today Something Clicked

Today, I am 16 weeks and 5 days pregnant. Someone said to me today, 'You should have waited longer after you were 21 to get pregnant.' Really? How dare they? This is the most amazing thing that has ever occurred in my and my husband's life and I could not be prouder or happier to be experiencing this amazing time in my life. Of course, the times of going out with friends, being skinny, and partying like it's 1969 were great, but as I lay here in bed every night and get to feel this beautiful baby moving around (I have just the last couple days been feeling it quite a bit more often hehe), those days can honestly be just a memory because there is not place I would rather be in my life then right here. When this person said this to me, not only was I shocked and offended, but it became clear to me how little this person knew me and how much I don't care about what others think about me anymore. Watching my child move around on that ultrasound screen while my husband stared grinning ear to ear right next to me, so excited that he recognized the baby's spine, made me realize that no one, not even the most cruel and evil, will ever take the joy that I feel away from me; or from us. What a rejuvenating feeling :0)

16 Weeks!

So I have been horrible at keeping this thing up! But here I am! Jeff and I got married this past weekend and it could not have been more beautiful....honestly, everything went perfect. Until Tuesday morning when I woke up with a horrible sore throat....and of course, you can't take ANYTHING that works when you are prego!! Today I am SOO extremely stuffy!!! But on the plus side, we got to go to another appointment! Jeff got to go this time and see the baby's spine, hands, little booty hehehe. It was awesome...and we FINALLY got to hear the heartbeat! I recorded it on my phone and have been listening to it all day :0) I hope this cold goes away soon because I am SO over it.... here's a picture from today! At the next appointment we get to find out what the sex is!!! YAY!

15 Weeks :0)

You know what I have realized? I was bigger at the beginning of my pregnancy than I am right now....I think what I 'thought' was a baby bump earlier on was actually bloating!! I think that I am just now actually starting to "show" haha....It's becoming very common that people are placing their bets and "telling" me what I am having as we approach the coming appointments to find out!! I am choosing to plug my ears and tune out all of the "symptoms" telling me what I'm having. Here's the research that I have found:
  • Myth: Carrying your baby "high" means you will have a boy; carrying "low" means you will have a girl.
Reality: Lots of factors go into how you look when you are pregnant, including the age of the fetus as well as their position, size, and the mother's overall body shape. If she is short waisted, for example, her pregnancy may look different from a woman who is long waisted. But nothing about the shape has to do with the baby's sex, says Leipzig.
  • Myth: Suspending a gold ring from a string over a pregnant woman's belly can predict the sex depending on the way it swings -- back and forth for a boy, in a circular motion for a girl.
Reality: "There is nothing about the gender of a baby that will influence the pull of gravity. But some folks believe that, much like a Ouija board, the direction the ring swings may be influenced by the thoughts of the person holding the string -- and they will always be right 50% of the time," says Bartholomew.
  • Myth: If the hair on your legs grows faster during pregnancy it's a boy; if it grows slower, it's a girl.
Reality: The logic here is that because testosterone may influence hair growth, carrying a boy -- who would ostensibly have more testosterone than a girl -- will do the same. Masch says it's untrue. "There isn't enough hormone present in a fetus to have any significant hormonal impact on the mother's body, let alone cause the hair on her legs to grow," she says.
  • Myth: If you crave sour or salty foods, it's a boy; sweets, it's a girl.
Reality: Although doctors aren't totally sure what causes a woman to crave certain foods during pregnancy, most universally agree the baby's sex isn't one of them. "There is nothing about carrying a boy or a girl that would influence a woman's taste buds," says Masch.
  • Myth: If a pregnant woman's urine is a dull color, it's a girl; if it's a bright color, it's a boy.
Reality: "The only thing that influences the color of a pregnant woman's urine is how much fluid she consumes -- if she's a little dehydrated, it will be a darker color; if she's drinking a lot of water, it will be lighter," says Bartholomew.

SO HA! we just can't wait to find out what the DOCTOR says!

excited!!!!

I am only 12 weeks and 6 days... So I waited for a bit, and it happened again!! I have been trying to lay here waiting for it to happen again and it hasn't... Wishful thinking or fo' reals I'm not sure, but flippin crazy feeling!! and Exciting! The First Time I got to REAAALLLLYYY SEE The Little One :0)

Today was my 12week appointment and I am exactly 12 weeks and two days IT WAS AMAZING!! Unfortunately, Jeff couldn't be there today because he had to go out of town for a week for work :( When I got to Dr. Dorough's office, I was very promptly and cheerfully welcomed back to see the doctor as ALWAYS! I love Dr. D!! And all his office staff!! Everyone is so nice and sweet and willing to help anyone in any way! I asked Susan, Dr. Dorough's assistant if I could do the Urine Protein test AFTER the ultrasound since Doc had a hard time seeing our little one last time. So she weighed me and so far I have gained a total of 5 pounds throughout the first 12 weeks....not too bad, but I gotta start watching it LOL. Then I went into the room and got my phone out just in case we could hear the heartbeat. When I laid down and Doctor put the ultrasound thingy on my stomach my heart fluttered about 1000 times per minute. The most clear image of the baby I have seen!!! At first, baby was sleeping and had it's little adorable hands up by it's face. It's little legs were all curled up and was soooo cozy! Then mean ol' Dr. Dorough came and pushed on it and woke baby up!! It was incredible watching it kick and flail around!!! I got to see it's little feet and hands and eyes and spine....its heart beat was flashing very noticably and Doc said that the little one is about 4 inches long! After the ultrasound, Dr. explained to me that if he does the doppler and we don't hear anything that I have to promise not to freak out because sometimes it's just in the right spot to hear it this early in the pregnancy. I got my phone ready to record and we tried to listen for about 5 minutes. Unfortunately, we didn't get to hear anything but it was still VERY exciting to clearly make out the baby and watch it move around....I cannot even describe the feeling. Dr. Dorough said that at my next appointment on Oct. 13 we would for SURE be able to hear the heartbeat. That is only 3 days after the wedding; what a perfect wedding gift!!!! You better believe I will be recording it!!! He also told me I need to start looking for a pediatrician and make my appointment for my labor classes. So that's my homework!! Here is one of the pics from today :0) I'm a happy mommy!

12 Weeks Today :0)

Today marks my entering into the wonderful world of the second trimester!! WOOT WOOT!! I am so stoked! As far as the baby goes, he/she is growing and doing super!! Depending on what website or book you read, the baby is now somewhere between an 1/2 oz and 1 oz and between 2 and 3 inches! My gut which is growing rapidly says different lol. The good news is, no more nausea or exhaustion. Let me put some pictures up of my little tummy and what this little bug inside of it looks like :0)

Yup! That's about right!! LOL!

Fun Day!

Today was a great relaxing day. Other than the fact that I feel HUGE today, overall it was good! It just sucks because I am no longer able to fit into my regular jeans, but I am not big enough for maternity jeans either...so I'm in this phase where I just look....well....HUGE. LOL Yeah, Yeah I know "just wait" haha. Anyway, Went over to Carl and Melanie's today and had BBQ'd tri-tip, corn, bread and pasta salad :0) yum yum! Melanie gave me a little stash of "supplies" for post-partum as well...LOL it was great :0) love it! She also gave me a little magazine with real pics of what the baby looks like month by month! I am not looking ahead to next month so I can be surprised :0) hehehee. I am so glad to have some of my energy returning! I don't feel like I'm walking around on Nyquil anymore lol. I do, however, have more pimples than a 13 year old in puberty. Grrr...not cool!! Oh well, it's all worth it for my little baby :0) Anyway, I will be 11 weeks on monday and will be posting a belly pic! Haven't done so in a while!

Sunday, August 29, 2010

10 weeks!

Well, I will be 10 weeks tomorrow :0) I am feeling oddly skinny today LOL. Maybe it's just my imagination. Last night was my bachelorette party/pleasure party....it was a freaking BLAST!! Good food, good fun!! Michelle and Leslie bought be O'Douls (non-alcoholic beer) which was sooooo awesome!! It tasted delish!! I had two LOL. I am excited, just two more weeks until my 12 week appointment! Jeff will be out of town for work so it will likely be an emotional day, but I am hoping that my mommy can go with me! I want to actually HEAR the heartbeat rather than just watch it :0) Here are some pictures of the party last night :0)

This thing looked real LMAO!!

The BEST day!!!

Today has been just the absolute BEST day I have ever had. For starters, I woke up at 5:00am WITHOUT any problem. That's practically a miracle in itself. Went to work, no drama. Left, came home, Jeff and I had a FATTY lunch from the gas station. Yes I know, but they have the BEST home made breakfast burritos! Then, went to our Dr. appt. The baby is PERFECT! and getting BIG! Got a beautiful ultrasound pic that only a mommy could be proud of :0) then, went to work, day went by fast. FOR ONCE! Came home and was surprised to find out that Jeff had gone to pick up my ring today without telling me and surprised me with it!! It was AMAZING!! I am just ready to run a damn marathon right now I am SOOOO pumped!!! Here are some pics!! xoxox
Me when I go my ring back....I'm SOOO happy!!!
Where's baby?? hehee. See the blackness? Thats the sack, and the wittle tiny baby is inside :0)

Update :-)

Hey there! (hey there...) Hello?? (hello??)... Echo!! (Echo!!) Haha. I dunno if anyone actually reads this, but hey, its fun for me 'cause I am actually going to have fun going back and reading this later :0)

So anywho...No luck on my ring...I literally got to wear it for like 12 hours. and it was supposed to be done yesterday!!!! and it's not. I am so irritated. Ughhh. Oh well, at least I know how beautiful it is hahaha.

Tomorrow Jeff and I are heading to the court house to get our marriage license. Then at 11am we have another baby appt :0) Hopefully the baby will be big enough this time to actually see on the ultra sound rather than the vaginal one. I mean, he gave us a picture last time, but you literally need a microscope to see it lmao. The wittle baby is TINY! hehehe.

I made the BEST salad right now. Romaine lettuce, cheese, bacon-bits, croutons, tomato, and home made ranch :-) All the toppings probably defeat the purpose of eating a salad, but nevertheless, it was DELISH. ;0) Well, I am off to work in a bit. I will update again tomorrow after the appt. ;)

SOOOOO I have not been very good about posting and keeping up to date, but I have been SOO busy planning for the wedding! This week on Wednesday is our doctors appt to find out exactly how far along we are...somewhere between 9 and 11 weeks I guess....hahaha hard to say now hahhaha!! But in the meantime, here are some pictures :0)

Right After I found out ;0) no bump yet! bye bye skinny tummy!

Can't wait for the ceremony :-) Monday I will FINALLY get to pick up my ring.....just a week and a day left! Also, I am having a pleasure party at the end of the month! Exciting! Also, we get another ultrasound appt coming up since the baby was too small to see clearly last time :-) YAY!

Monday, August 2, 2010

OMGOSH!!!

How on earth could I forget!!?? Jeff proposed to me on Friday!!!! I am so excited!! My ring is absolutely GORGEOUS! And he picked it out all by himself! It was a size 7 when he bought it so I had to take it in to be sized and now I won't get it back until Thursday. I'm sad about that. I am also hoping and praying that my fingers won't swell too much so I can wear my ring through my pregnancy. Sheesh. Yeah right lol.

8 Weeks!!

Eight weeks today everyone! When they say it goes fast, whoever they are, well, they are right! I feel like I just found out I was 5 weeks prego yesterday! Literally! Well yes, so here are the feelings/symptoms lately. Still as tired as can be. Haven't been eating very well, so I will start better tomorrow. I can't eat ANYTHING without having acid reflux, indigestion, or gas. It's awful. I think I need to literally invest in Pepto-Bismol as a stock holder. Tomorrow is our second prenatal appt! I'm excited! Dr. Dorough said that we might be able to hear a heartbeat this time! :0)

Fun Weekend :0)

This weekend has been great :) Friday, Jeff and I went to farmers Market and walked around and bought some of our favorite sweet pepper jelly from the Top of The Hill stand. We walked to Michelangelos after wards and had yummy appitizers and pizza too :0) Yesterday, we took our morning slow, got ready and went to the lake at about 11. It was so relaxing and fun! We met up with Tim and Gina and their family and had a great time. I am getting used to being the only one not drinking, and actually I feel a lot more healthy! I also lasted a lot longer on the lake! Before we went to the lake we grabbed a sandwich at Subway, later to find out that I shouldn't be eating lunch meat because of the chances of Listeria being in the meat!! WTF!? No more sandwiches for me I guess =/ At about 5pm we drove out to a cove by ourselves and there was literally no one else on the lake. We BBQ'd some sqewers we had prepared with steak, bell peppers, red onions, and pineapple and watched the sunset. It was so nice. One more week and we get to hear baby's heartbeat! YAY! can't wait! Feeling good still! Must be the 1,000 pounds of vitamins I have been eating and drinking :)

First Prentatal Appointment! 6 1/2 Weeks :0)

Today was our first Prenatal appointment! Dr. Dorough says everything looks good, gave me a big packet of information and answered all my questions! I guess it's really time to get the ball rollin'! He says that it is too early to do an ultrasound just yet, but I have another appointment on August 5th and we will be doing an ultrasound and taking pictures at that appointment! We are soooo excited!! I am feeling great...other than the horrible gas pains, SEVERE fatigue, and constant peeing :0) But it will all be worth it :0)

Family Day!

So today we celebrated Nana and Papa's birthdays over at my moms house. Nana, Papa, Aunt Angie, Uncle Greg, Arica, Moms, Pops, Garth, K.C., and of course my mom, Chris, and Logan were there! We ate and swam and had cake and presents. Then we gave everyone one big present and announced to everyone that we are pregnant :) Everyone was so excited! When I came home tonight I was hungry so I made a bowl of mashed potatoes. It sounded so good, but now I have major indigestion :0( Poor baby hehe. Jeff and I just got done watching Big Brother and now we are going to get ready for bed. What a nice day :0)

The bad sleep already begins??

So last night was my first experience of having REALLY bad sleep. Thank goodness today is Sunday so I can just relax. It seems like I was up every hour either peeing or having gas pains!!! Ughhh!! Oh well, it's all going to be worth it :)

Today is going to be so much fun! We are going over to my moms at 2:00pm to swim and eat and hang out with Family for Nana and Papa's Birthdays :) It is going to be nice to just be with the family :)

I have been doing really well with eating. Just water, OJ, and Vitamin Water lately to drink and no junk....although last night I did have to go to Sonic and get a Strawberry CreamSlush which was DELISH!! Okie Dokie, well, more updates later!!

Well,,,this blog is soon to be less random and used quite a bit more often :)

Thursday, June 15, 2010 at 3:50pm Jeff and I found out that I am five weeks pregnant! It was the most shocking and amazing moment of my life to hear the words, "Congradulations! You guys are going to have a baby!" I mean, prior to this, I had been feeling a little extra tired, had a tiny bit of lower back pain and my period had been due June 6th and still hadn't come. But I have always had irregular periods and figured that possibly something related to a cyst like I had experienced before was the cause for these symptoms. After all, on Friday the 10th I had taken two pregnancy tests which revealed I was NOT pregnant. But appearently, my life will never, ever be the same; our lives will never be the same. As soon as I found out I called my mom and at first, being a bit shocked all she could say was, "But you have been drinking!!" Her shock quickly turned to excitment along with the rest of the friends/family who found out. My dad was/is having a hard time accepting the news, but I know he will be just as excited. Today, we went to the lake with my mom, Chris, Logan, and Garth. Garth is SO excited to be an uncle. I was surprised at how excited he was! I had my first bit of "morning sickness" as well. So far so good though. Not much nausea and no throwing up yet. Knock on wood. I have been drinking nothing but orange juice, water, and vitamin water for the last three days and I think I have peed about 9,000 times, but other then that I feel great! My first prenatal appointment is this coming Thursday at 10:00am so Jeff and I are so excited about that! Eventually we will get married, sooner than later, and that is something else wonderful to look forward to! Life couldn't be better right now actually :)

Things I can't get the hang of....

For one. I cannot get the hang of how to eat healthy...Mac and Cheese and Ice Cream and LITERALLY consumed my life.
-Not only that, but after exercising for the first time in about 8 months, my calves are so ridiculously sore that I cannot work out for at least another week.
Therefore, I presume that I cannot get the hang of how to properly exercise.
-Also, I cannot get the hang of blogging because there are simply not enough hours in the day and blogspot irritatingly enough does NOT have an iPhone app.
- I also am awful at Wii bowling, golf, tennis; Wii Sports in general. I am much better at and enjoy creating thousands of little Mii's who look like my enemies and making them look as distorted, ugly and retarded as possible.
-I am sure there are more but I just forgot I have not mentioned the "crier" yet, which may have something to do with my incapability to blog.

Day ??

Well quite obviously the meal planning/blogging diet didn't work out as planned. But really, what do I ever do that works out as planned??

Well the good thing is that it is Summer, the bad thing is now I get to force myself into bikinis I wore my sophomore year of high school because I refuse to spend a fortune on a few small pieces of material to cover my private areas. Plus, it gives me motivation (kinda) to get back to my 120lb self......yeah.....riiiiiight.

Well now that I am going to be late for work, I suppose I shall go but this afternoon I will update you on:

-My iPhone problems
-The "crier" at work
-and any other odds and ends which pop into my brain in the next 6 hours.

Have a Beautiful Day :)

UPDATE on The Crier:
Here is the story:
There's someone at work who has been there about a year. Myself and a co-worker fought for this person to return when they got moved to another location. Upon returning, this person is more sick than anyone I have ever known and has become oddly emotional; constantly leaving work early for "not feeling good" or calling in all together. As a matter of fact, once when she was leaving early, she CRIED cause she didn't feel good.....So anyways. Summer is here and of course we are going on field trips. We were taking the kids on a very big field trip and going up in the mountains. I have a teacher who is like my right hand and asked her to assist me on this trip rather than the "crier" go. If you are wondering why her name is "the crier", your about to find out. When I told the crier she was not going on the field trip, she lost it. Threw a tantrum! Cried and cried and cried! SOOO ridiculous! Talking about how its not fair and blah blah blah! OMG! Then the other day, when I happened to go into the kids bathroom, it was disgusting! Guess who is in charge of cleaning the bathrooms? you guessed it. The crier. When told that she needed to do a more thorough job, she....CRIED! FUCK. I'm over it.

Day Two

Okay, so last night went as planned; beer, beer and more beer....which of course goes along with calories, calories and more calories....For whatever reason, at the end of a heavy drinking night, I revert back to toddler-hood and cry and act like a retard.....But hey, that's better than getting angry or something... (I think?)

Not only do these wonderful things play a part in the events of my evening, but my lovely hangover decided to visit this morning when it was time to get up for work.

The good thing about last night was that I really didn't eat anything except a tortilla!! Oh gosh....Michelangelos' homemade flour tortilla with ranch and chipotle sauce....a favorite of mine and Jeff's......DELISH.

Okay. So on to my meal plan for today. As you know, a hangover comes with a heavy appetite. So bare with me alright??

Breakfast:
Homemade chorizo, egg, and bacon burrito (compliments of my handsome lover boy hehe)
Diet Coke (Shut up, it sounded good)

Lunch:
Yogurt
Fruit
Crackers and Cheese

Dinner:
Soup?? Not sure yet. Something light

Lets see if I can make it happen....

In the Beginning...

Kaila created her first blog. Yes, I have finally buckled down and given in to the wonderful and persuasive life of the 'blogger'. And actually, it is a bit exciting for me, knowing that I can write about anything I darn well please without having to worry about a single soul 'having' to see it. This is opposed to all my Facebook friends who are 'forced' to see my constant status updates on their news feed 400 times a day.

Anyway. I am very excited because I feel that I will have many memorable moments to share with this dear blog. If in fact I do keep it up to date that is. Which I am going to try my darnedest to do.

I suppose I should introduce myself, as I have never met, or erm...typed in this blog before....(I guess that's what I should say; met?)

My name is Kaila.
I'm 21.
I like long walks and reading classic literature in my spare time.

Wait. No. Scratch that. Classic literature bores me more than nothing else. It sounded good though, didn't it? Hmm. As for the long walks, that was a lie too. I hate walks. As a matter of fact, I despise them and you practically have to force me to walk anywhere. Unless of course there is food at the end of the walk; I could manage it then I suppose.

Which brings me to my next point. My diet. I am determined to lose 10-15lbs by this June. Why? Because. That's why. Because I am sick of sitting down and having a roll over the top of my pants. Is that good enough reason? Well, it may be for some, and if it isn't good enough for the other some, than I'm sorry, but quit reading.

I am going to update with my meals throughout the day (and my binges...eeep!) To not only keep track for myself, but to realize that, you, my fantastic blog, will tease me and insult me everytime I binge. Thus, making me not want to binge....I don't know if that made sense, but it did to me and I guess that's really all that matters.

I also have a wonderful man in my life that you will most definitely be hearing about. His name is Jeff and we have been dating for almost a year. We just moved in together and we haven't been happier. Jeff has a boat you see, which is also another motive for me to lose the extra flab.

So here we go with the meals for day one. And by the way, I am eating less today because tonight we are going to our favorite pizza place, Michaelangelos and drinking beer and obviously having pizza. I have to save calories for that. der.

Breakfast:
1 whole grain waffle with butter and light syrup
1 bowl of mixed fruit (watermelon, cantaloupe, and strawberries)
water

Snack:
granola bar

Lunch:
small Turkey sandwich on whole grain bread
100 calorie pack of sun chips
water

Snack:
....almonds??
I don't know yet

Dinner:
Fat Shit.

Alright so there you have it. Day One.

I will be back later to update on any sudden binges or happenings in my day.
